I purchased a new macro lens, the Canon 100mm f2.6, and had fun taking pictures of my parents Sea Glass. They spent the previous summer picking up sea glass off the beaches in Nome. For the pictures with black backgrounds, I set the glass directly on top of my light, the Lume Cube. The massive amount of light traveling through the glass forces a very short shutter speed with larger apertures. This causes the background to not be visible.
